Background on Soil

Soil is a complex mixture of minerals, organic material, water, and various lifeforms. Soil contamination is a global threat that is particularly serious in regions like Europe, Eurasia, Asia and North Africa, as indicated by the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations (FAO). Soil pollutants can be roughly divided into two categories: inorganic pollutants and organic pollutants. Inorganic pollutants mainly include acids, alkalis, heavy metals, salts, radioactive elements cesium, strontium compounds, and compounds containing arsenic, selenium, and fluorine. Organic pollutants mainly include organic pesticides, phenols, cyanide, petroleum, synthetic detergents, etc. When soil is contaminated with these substances, exceeding the self-purification capacity of the soil, it will cause changes in the composition, structure and function of the soil. The activity of microorganisms will be inhibited. The harmful substances or their decomposition products will gradually accumulate in the soil and be absorbed indirectly by the human body. Reach the level of harm to human health.

Soil Test Kits

Soil test kits are important tools for detecting potentially pollutants in soil, as well as an important guarantee for the implementation of environmental protection and the realization of the quality and safety of agricultural products. Soil test kits contain the inorganic pollutants (acids, alkalis, heavy metals, salts, cesium, strontium compounds, etc.) and organic pollutants (benzene, toluene, xylene, ethylbenzene, trichloroethylene, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, polychlorinated biphenyls, organic pesticides, etc.) for comprehensive management of the soil.

Advantages of Our Soil Test Kits

  • A variety of soil detection technologies (High performance liquid chromatography, atomic fluorescence spectroscopy detection method, TG soil detection method, Near-infrared Spectroscopy and Multiple Spectral Algorithms, Real-Time PCR, etc.) were adopted to develop test kits.
  • It can realize fast soil on-site detection and analyze soil-related high-precision quantitative data.
  • It can specifically identify one or more pollutants in the soil and can detect pollutants at the same time to achieve a preliminary evaluation of soil pollution.
