This ELISA reacted with all Xab isolates tested. Reaction of the ELISA is moderate strong. Optical Density at 405nm isin a range of 1.000 - 2.700 depending on the bacterial titers in the samplestested.

Sensitivity:

Sensitivity of the ELISA is moderate high. Thebacterium can be consistently detected in infected plant tissues diluted at1:270 - 1:810.

Specificity:

This test system reacts negatively with Acidovoraxavenae subsp. citrulli, Clavibacter flaccumfaciens, C.michiganensis subsp. insidiosus, C. m. subsp. michiganensis,C. m. subsp. nebraskensis, C. m. subsp. sepedonicus, C. m. subsp. tessellarius,Erwinia carotovora subsp. atroseptica, E.c. subsp. carotovora, Erwinia chrysanthemi, E.stewartii, Pseudomonas syringae pv. phaseolicola, P.s. pv. syringae, Ralstonia solanacearum, Xanthomonas campestris pv.armoraciae, X. c. pv. campestris, X.c. pv. citri, X. c. pv. dieffenbachiae, X. c. pv. pelargonii, X.c. pv. phaseoli, and X. c. pv. vesicatoria. Thereis no cross reaction with healthy plant tissues. Background is very low onall of the negative control wells.
