Reactivity:

This test system detects all known isolates of TNV - serotype group D, including strains D, E, AC43, AC36, and the strains obtained from pear, grapevine and citrus. This test does not react with TNV - serotype group A, including strains A, B, C and S. Reaction of the ELISA is very strong. Optical Density at 405nm is in a range of 1.300 - 2.700depending on the virus titer in the samples tested.

Sensitivity:

Sensitivity of the ELISA is very high. Thevirus can be consistently detected in infected plant tissues diluted at 1:2430.

Source Antibody:

Use a rabbit polyclonalantibodies made against TNV-serotypes D for both capture anddetection.

Specificity:

There is no cross reaction with healthy plant tissues. Background is low on all of the negative control wells.
