Product Name:
Tetracycline ELISA Kit
Description:
Tetracycline belong to a wide range of antibiotics which are often used in treating infections of the respiratory tract, intestines and urinary tract, they are also useful in the treatment of chlamydia in particular those patients that have an allergy to macrolides and β-lactams. However, the general usefulness for this chemical has become less popular due to the widespread development of antibiotic resistance in causative organisms. Despite this, tetracycline is a popular choice of treatment for many specific indications, this includes for example brucellosis, syphilis, malaria, cholera, plague and acne.
Tetracycline works by blocking the ability of bacteria to produce proteins, through binding specific prokaryotic ribosomes. In many countries tetracycline is also accepted in food production and therefore consuming tetracycline could lead to potential risks. This has resulted in most countries regulating the maximum amount of tetracycline residues present in foods.
