Reactivity:

This test system detects all known isolates of SCBV. Reaction of the ELISA is strong. Optical Density at 405nm is in arrange of 0.900 - 3.000 depending on the virus titer in the samples tested.

Sensitivity:

Sensitivity of the ELISA is high. The virus can be consistentlydetected in infected plant tissues diluted at 1:270 - 1:810.

Source Antibody:

Use a rabbit polyclonal antibodies made against SCBV for both capture and detection.

Specificity:

There is no cross reaction with healthy plant tissues such as sugarcane and other host plant. This test also react with BSV. Background is relatively low on thenegative control wells.
