Introduction:

The use of prohibited antibiotics or chemicals in aquaculture raises significant public health concerns. The use of antibiotics or chemicals, such as malachite green, nitrofurans, fluoroquinolones, and gentian violet during various stages of aquaculture production can result in the presence of residues of the parent compound or its metabolites in the edible portion of the aquacultured seafood.

Negative:

The Test Line (T) is the same as or darker than the Control Line (C). It is negative.

INVALID: Reference Line fails to appear.

Insufficient specimen volume or incorrect procedural techniques are the most likely reasons for an INVALID result. Review the procedure and repeat the test with a new test Kit. Stop using the test kit immediately if the problem is not solved and contact your local distributor.
