This test system reacted all isolates or strains ofPYDV tested. Reaction of the ELISA is moderately strong. OpticalDensity at 405nm is in a range of 1.000 - 2.000 depending on thevirus titer in the samples tested.

Sensitivity:

Sensitivity of the ELISA isrelatively high. The virus can be consistentlydetected in infected plant tissues diluted at 1:810 - 1:2430.

Rabbit polyclonal antibody for both capture anddetection.

Specificity:

There is no cross reaction found with healthypotato tissues. Background is relatively low on the negative controlwells.
