The Phosphate Test Kit Replacement Reagents are pre-measured, top-quality reagents that allow for quick and precise phosphate assessment with the chemical test kit. These reagents utilise the ascorbic acid method to ascertain the concentration of phosphate.
To measure the concentration of phosphate, the reagent that includes ammonium molybdate and potassium antimonyl tartrate forms a phosphomolybdate complex when combined with orthophosphate in an acidic environment. The phosphomolybdate complex then undergoes a reduction process with ascorbic acid, which results in the formation of a blue complex; the depth of the color is directly proportional to the concentration. A color comparator cube is enclosed for precise, comparative, visual examination to determine the concentration of phosphate. These reagents are specifically intended for use with samples that anticipate a phosphate range of 0 to 5 mg/L (ppm) PO43-.
