This test system reacted with all of the isolates ofPMMoV tested. Reaction of the ELISA is relatively strong. OpticalDensity at 405nm is in a range of 1.000 - 2.480 depending on thevirus titer in the samples tested.

Sensitivity:

Sensitivity of the ELISA isvery high. The virus can be consistentlydetected in infected plant tissues diluted at 1:2430.

A rabbit polyclonal antibody for capture and amonoclonal antibody for detection.

Specificity:

There is no cross reaction found withhealthy plant tissues. Background is low on the negative controlwells.
