Reactivity:

This test system reacted with all of the isolates ofPepMV tested. Reaction of the ELISA is moderately strong. OpticalDensity at 405nm is in a range of 0.700 - 1.500 depending on thevirus titer in the samples tested.

Sensitivity:

Sensitivity of the ELISA isrelatively high. The virus can be consistentlydetected in infected plant tissues diluted at 1:810 - 1:2430.

Source Antibody:

Rabbit polyclonal antibody for both capture anddetection.

Specificity:

This test system is no cross-reaction with otherpotexviruses such as CyMV, PapMV, PAMV, or PVX . There is no crossreaction found with healthy tissues of tomato or pepper. Background is lowon the negative control wells including buffer well.
