Description:

Ochratoxin A (OTA) is a toxic metabolite produced by Aspergillus flavus and Penicillium genera. Ochratoxin A has a strong liver and kidney toxicity, and has teratogenic, mutagenic and carcinogenic.
OTA was considered to be the second important and harmful mycotoxin in the family following with Aflatoxin flavus. As the OTA producing fungi exist widely in nature, especially higher yield in cereals and cereals products, coffee, cocoa contaminated with OTA, it has been potential threat for human health and development of animal husbandry.

Detection Limit:

Maize, soy bean, wheat, etc.: 1 ppb
Beer: 0.1 ppb

Detection Principle:

Ochratoxin A kit is an indirect competitive enzyme-labeled immunoassay. The Ochratoxin Aantigen is precoated on the wells. The precoated antigen compete the Ochratoxin Aantibody (antibody solution) with Ochratoxin A in the sample, anti-ochratoxin Aantibody binds to theOchratoxin A-HRP enzyme conjugate. Then pipet the substrate solutions to the wells to convert the color.
The color of unknown samples is compared to the color of the standards and the Ochratoxin Aconcentration of the samples is derived.

Intended Use:

The Ochratoxin A (OTA) ELISA Kit is an indirect competitive ELISA for the quantitative analysis of Ochratoxin A in maize, soybean, wheat, beer, etc.
