Reactivity:

This test system reacted with all of the isolates orstrains of MNSV tested. Reaction of the ELISA is very strong. Optical Density at 405nm is in a range of 1.200 - 2.800 depending on the virus titer in the samples tested.

Sensitivity:

Sensitivity of the ELISA isrelatively high. The virus can be consistentlydetected in infected plant tissues diluted at 1:810.

Source Antibody:

Rabbit polyclonal antibody for both capture anddetection.

Specificity:

This ELISA shows no cross-reaction with othercarmoviruses, such as carnation mottle virus, hibiscus chlorotic ringspot virusand pelargonium flower break virus. There is no cross reaction found withhealthy cucurbit plant tissues. Background is low on all of the negative controlwells.
