This test system detects all isolates or strains of virus. Reaction of the ELISA is very strong. Optical Density at 405nm is in a range of 1.200 - >3.000 for leaf samples and 0.400 - 1.400 for seed samples, depending on the virus titer in the samples tested.

Sensitivity:

Sensitivity of the ELISA is very high. The virus can be consistently detected in infected tissues diluted at 1:2430 for leaf samples and 1:30-1:90 for seed samples. This ELISA can be used to detection LMV in lettuce seeds.

Specificity:
