Reactivity:

This test reacted with all isolates of GCLV tested. Reaction of the ELISA isvery strong. Optical Density at 405nmis in a range of 1.480 - 3.000 depending on the virus titer in the samples tested.

Sensitivity:

Sensitivity of the ELISA ismoderately high. The virus can be consistentlydetected in infected plant tissues diluted at 1:270.

Rabbit polyclonal antibody for both capture anddetection.

Specificity:

This test system shows no cross-reaction with otherCarlaviruses such as CLV, BBScV, KLV, LSV, PVM, PVS, and SLV. A weakcross-reaction was found with CVB. There is no cross reaction found with healthyGarlic plant tissues. Background is relatively low on thenegative control wells.
