Description:

Fumonisinis a mycotoxin derived from Fusarium, which occur mainly in maize (corn), wheat and other cereals. Fumonisin contamination of maize has been reported worldwide at mg/kg levels. Human exposure occurs at levels of micrograms to milligrams per day and is greatest in regions where maize products are the dietary staple.

Detection Limit:

Maize, feed, etc.: 150 ppb
maize peel, bran, etc: 300 ppb

Detection Principle:

The Fumonisin kit is an indirect competitive enzyme-labeled immunoassay. The Fumonisin antigen is precoated on the wells. The precoated antigen compete the Fumonisin antibody (antibody solution) with Fumonisin in the sample, anti-Fumonisin antibody binds to the Fumonisin-HRP enzyme conjugate. Then pipe the substrate solution to the wells to convert the color.
The color of unknown samples is compared to the color of the standards and the Fumonisin concentration of the samples is derived.

Intended Use:

The Fumonisin ELISA Kit is a competitive ELISA for the qualitative or quantitative analysis of Fumonisin in feed, maize and its by-products, etc.
