Description:

The Chloride Chemical Test Kit-100 are high quality reagents that are pre-measured, providing users the ability to obtain precise and swift chloride measurements via the chemical test kit. These reagents adhere to the mercuric nitrate titration procedure in order to calculate the concentration of chloride.
While ascertaining the presence of chloride, the nitric acid reagent is utilized to adapt the pH of the analyzed sample to around pH 3, making the solution adopt a yellow color. The sample's chloride then reacts with the mercuric ions present in the titrant, transforming all chloride into mercuric chloride. When excess mercuric ions are present, the mercuric ions then forms a purple complex in conjunction with the diphenylcarbazone indicator. The concentration of chloride in the sample, denoted in mg/L (parts per million), is determined by the amount of titrant, in milliliters, required to switch the solution's color from yellow to purple. These reagents are designed for use with samples expected to possess a chloride range between 0 and 100 mg/L (ppm) and 0 and 1000 mg/L (ppm).
